What is Content Marketing About?

Hello Dear Visitor,

If you would like answers to the question “what is Content Marketing About?” you’re at the right hub! You’re not only going to get a definition, but you’re also going to learn how doing content marketing on your blog or website can be life changing for YOU. Yes…understanding content marketing energizes you to start thinking about building your own business from scratch with a small amount of money! Do you want to know how? Read on!

According to Ramos (2013), Content Marketing is all about the use of content (text, image, audio, and video) with larger marketing platform in order to propagate and boost business and optimize budgets.

The commonest definition was issued by Content Marketing Institute, an online resource for information on all things content marketing related, Content Marketing is:

a marketing technique of creating and distributing valuable, relevant and consistent content to attract and acquire a clearly defined audience – with the objective of driving profitable customer action

Help and value: Principles that rule every content marketer

In the definition above, there is Acquisition and Attraction of “a specific audience.” The latter needs the valuable information that a content creator/writer or marketer detains. The content market creates such content to DRIVE profitable customer actions. In other words, thanks to contents, a content marketer makes a living only by playing on what that specific audience wants!

====Help: Since the content marketer wants to make money, the latter is consequent to help. The unshakable principle is that he/she must first of all understand his/her audience’s needs/wants/problems/queries or desires. How does he/she learns about these?

====The content writer/marketer runs a search of what his/her target audience’s emotions are, what they are encountering as problems or difficulties and then finds solutions that he/she packages into a case called content.

Successful content marketers are animated with help and problem-solving spirit and avail the solutions (valuable information) to the an audience starving for it!

Concrete Example: How content marketers monitor their target audiences’ wants

1. Vague but inspirational way: Social question-answer sites

Suppose that you’re a graduate of physical education or sportphile (a sport driven guy) and that you want to make money guiding people about how to exercise, you’ve got to specify your help (example help lose men’s boobs fat) then your target audience becomes clear.

In this example, the target audience====>Every man (worldwide) with boobs fat

You’ve got then to provide useful/valuable and relevant information to this particular section of people with boobs fat problem. These are your potential customers!

To lay hands on their concern, go to social question-answer sites and look at what they ask and then answer thoroughly through your content. The commonest social question-answer sites include:

1) answers.yahoo.com;

2) answers.com;

3) askville.amazon.com;

4) AllExperts;

5) JustAnswer;

6) Quora;

7) theanswerbank.co.uk

8) etc.

Of course, they get some strings of answers but such answers are not very precise! Do far better and answer as clearly as possible!

2. Precise way: Use of Key-words Search Tools

There is a precise way of monitoring online what people are searching or typing in search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo, Baidu, Yandex, etc. One can manage it through the use of Free or Paid Key-Words Search Tools.

Thanks to these tools, one can get then the average of how often a keyword is typed in search engines:

Example with Jaaxy Keywords search Tool (A paid tool but free for Premium Members at Wealthy Affiliate)

Keywords searched: "Best exercises to lose belly fat for men"

Here is the Jaaxy Keywords Search Tool screenshot:

                                                       Sample keywords search in Jaaxy

Keyword=A phrase that users (audience) type into search engines to find what they are looking for;

Avg=Average number of searches that the keyword receives per month

Traffic: Visits to your website if you achieve first page rankings in search engines

QSR: Quoted Search Results==>The number of competing websites ranked in google for this exact keyword

KQI: Key-word Quality Indicator

SEO: Score based on traffic and competition; the higher the score, the more likely you will rank for this keyword on the first page (on a scale of 1-100, the higher=the better)

Other paid Keyword Search Subscriptions include “Keyword Tool Pro”, “Keyword Tool API” (See more from Keyword Tool Website)

Free Keywords Search Tools include Google Trends, Keyword Shitter, AdWord & SEO Keyword Permutation Generator, Answer the Public, Google Correlate, Keywords Everywhere, Wordtracker Scout, Google Search Console, Suggestion Keyword Finder, etc.

====> Cons: Some are not entirely free, you must have prior subscriptions; the reliability of the keywords is low. Some don’t generate keywords that are used in ranking your content. You might be careful in BANKING ON A FREE KEYWORD SEARCH TOOL!

Monetizing content or help

Remember the definition of content marketing: it ends in

…….”with the objective of driving profitable customer action”

Since we’re talking about marketing, there is supposed to be a business and business goes hand in hand with MONEY. Contents (valuable information) that a content marketer provides is his or her capital/assets! He or she needs this to be CONVERTED into profit through actions that website or blog visitors take.

If you’re helpful and this is felt in your contents, you can leverage this help and get your website users to do any action you suggest (Click Here, Buy from Amazon Here, Purchase this on, etc.). Most of these actions earn you commissions. How? Read on!

This form of earning consists of promoting other people’s or companies’ products your website/blog.

===Apply for this privilege from Amazon affiliate program and promote Amazon (USA/UK/Japan, etc.) products on your website! As website visitors click such links, it’s going to direct them to Amazon’s stores and any purchase made in this way leaves you a commission (money online)!

3) Amazon influencer program
